Rich Butterfield – Chief Executive Officer
As President and CEO, Butterfield is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company, as well as overseeing its day-to-day operations, global product development, sales and marketing. Butterfield brings to TierData over 25 years of executive leadership experience and technology innovation with fast-growing companies. Rich is a recognized thought leader in the application performance space.
Prior to TierData, Butterfield was Founder and CEO of OuterBay Technologies. During his 7 year tenure, he held multiple responsibilities that helped transform OuterBay from an innovative start-up to the leading provider of ILM software (Information Lifecycle Management) while building the worldwide customer base to over 150 customers. Butterfield was instrumental in the successful acquisition of OuterBay by Hewlett Packard in 2006. Previously, Butterfield held senior roles at Sun Microsystems, SGI and Information Builders.
Rich holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago.
Ziyad Dahbour – Chief Technology Officer
Dahbour brings TierData over 20 years of technology innovation and strategic development for managing large, complex application database environments. Dahbour is responsible for TierData’s engineering efforts, as well as future technology innovation.
Prior to TierData Ziyad was a founder and Chief Technology Officer at OuterBay Technologies where he led the engineering efforts for innovative technical features that were highly effective in keeping OuterBay at the lead position within the market. Early in his career Ziyad held engineering and management positions at Oracle where he was a performance expert within both the database and application divisions.
Ziyad holds a BS in Computer Science from San Francisco State University.

Micah Deriso – Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Micah Deriso joins TierData with over 13 years of sales and marketing leadership experience for enterprise software comapnies. Deriso is responsible for the worldwide sales and marketing efforts in launching AutoPilot, the next generation software platform for managing large complex application data. Under his leadership, TierData has experienced a significant increase in new customer acquisition and market awareness of the TierData brand.
Prior to TierData, Deriso was at OuterBay (acquired by HP in 2006) where he successfully led the ILM sales efforts for over 4 years. Deriso has a track record of success in the enterprise software field where he has been involved in successful acquisitions, startup stage companies, as well as large software companies. Previous experience includes management responsibilities at Information Builders, Vitria Technologies, as well as OuterBay Technologies.
Deriso holds a Business Management degree from Saint Leo University.

Jerry Stafford - Vice President of Product Management
Stafford brings 20+ years of experience in the Enterprise Application Space, with leadership roles across multiple functions including Engineering, Architecture, Product Management, Strategy, Technical Presales, and Business Development. Stafford is responsible for TierData’s product strategy and corporate development.
Prior to TierData Jerry had a 10 year career at Oracle where he played a key role in original design and engineering of the Oracle Manufacturing product. Jerry has made significant contributions to successful outcomes at several early stage software companies including RTS Software, OuterBay Technologies, and Tradeum where, as part of the executive team he led the product and market strategy resulting in a highly successful acquisition.
Jerry holds a BS in Mathematics and an MBA at UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management.

Jan Brown – Vice President of Corporate Accounts
Brown joins TierData with over 30 years of enterprise software experience in building successful sales and services organizations. Brown is responsible for the worldwide delivery teams at TierData. Under his leadership he has built a strong organization for managing and deploying the AutoPilot platform.
Prior to TierData, Brown spent 10 years at OuterBay (Acquired by Hewlett Packard in 2006) where he was the Vice President of Services growing the worldwide services revenues significantly.
Past experience includes Information Builders where he rose through the ranks of both sales and services and served as the Vice President and General Manager of the Applications Development group. Jan also held leadership positions at IBM.
Jan holds an MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Marge Peterson – Vice President of Operations and Administration
Peterson brings over 25 years of experience in the technology industry including software engineering, technical support, and technical documentation. Peterson is responsible for leading the support and QA teams at TierData and supporting the customer base.
Prior to TierData Marge held management positions at OuterBay Technologies where she started the worldwide support organization and scaled it to support a highly complex ILM product. Previous to Outerbay she held management positions at National Semiconductor and SGI.
Marge holds a Computer Science Degree from San Bernardino State University.
