The Active – Inactive Data Conundrum

Sustainable Application Performance

The ability to control performance within the Oracle database and application environment has been a constant balancing act for many customers.  The addition of computing resources, tuning exercises as well as battling new app functionality, development efforts, and business requests can be a daunting task.  There are hardware solutions, tuning tools, and many other ways to “fix” Oracle performance but they are all temporary and have diminishing returns in terms of system impact.
